Celebrity Wedding: Charlie Fernandez and Paula Peralejo

on July 23, 2013

Be inspired by this Filipiniana-themed celebrity wedding of Paula Peralejo and Charlie Fernandez 🙂  In the Philippines, being a public figure, much more for a celebrity, people will expect a big wedding party with hundreds of guests and millions spent for a big day. But in this wedding, I truly admired how the couple, led by the bride, wanted their wedding to be intimate and private. The way they planned their wedding was very inspiring and if you have read the bride’s blog, you will get a lot of tips on making one’s wedding very special and personalized without breaking your bank account.

Here are some of the interesting details about this wedding 🙂

1. The couple wanted their wedding to be Eco-friendly and no real flowers. They wanted a “no waste policy” as much as possible 🙂

2. Cost-effective wedding. They got full support from their families and friends and they spent on suppliers who, according to bride, “supported their requirements”

3. Plant as souvenirs that the groom’s mom planted herself  (basil, ashitava, and cilantro)

4.  Some of the materials that they used for their DIYs were made from existing materials that they already have at home such as jute sacks the groom got from his soy business, the groom’s  mom’s hurricane lamps, and scrap fabrics from the bride’s friend’s clothing factory

5. Centerpiece. Hurricane lamps placed on palayok filled with coffee beans. The coffee beans were then placed inside the jute sacks with buttons so they can bring it home and use as fertilizer for the plant souvenirs.
